The Following Rules will Apply to Boarders of the School

The guardian shall have to submit the medical report on a prescribed form which will be issued from the office at the time of admission.
- A general medical check up of students is carried out twice a week by a well qualified school doctor. Parents are informed immediately in case any student is transferred to hospital for treatment. In such cases the extra expenditure, if any, incurred will be borne by the parents / guardians.
- The school will make all endeavour to provide suitable medical aid in case any ward suffers from mild illness. In case of serious illness the concerned guardian will be informed for further treatment.

Children will not be permitted to meet any relative except those whose names are registered with the school authorities by the parents.
- No visitor including parents will be allowed to meet the students during school hours.
- Guardians are allowed to take their wards on last Sunday of every month from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Leave Rules
|

Boarders are not allowed to leave the school campus without prior permission. The school authorities will be free to lodge a report with the police if any Boarder is found absent from the school and will inform the guardians also. The school authorities shall not be responsible for any untoward incidents in such cases.
- Children will not be permitted to go home during one or two days holidays mentioned in the fixture.
- The Parents / Guardians of Boarders must inform well in advance (at least 15 days before) for taking leave on special occasions. Not more than three days will be granted for attending marriage of close relatives provided an invitation card is produced in support of the occasion. No telephonic message will be entertained in such cases.
- After holidays the boarders have to join the school at the given date positively otherwise they will be fined Rs.500/= per day. No medical certificate will be entertained.
- During holidays, in case any guardian wants his / her ward to accompany some other person or relative he / she will have to send an authority letter with attested signature of the person concerned.

Fee Rules For Boarders

School Tuition and Boarding Fees- |

At the time of admission the fee may be deposited through cash or by Bank Draft in Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank Ltd. at Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir, Campus, Nainital to avoid discrepancy at later stage. Nevertheless, fee can also be deposited by the parents at their respective location where branches of Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank are available after ascertaining from the office the actual amount of fee to be deposited.
- When the admission is finalized the guardian must deposit the first instalment immediately
on the date of admission which will be non-refundable, otherwise the name will be
struck off.
- (a) The first instalment of fee in respect of old Boarders is to be deposited by 31st
January and the second instalment by 30th June each year positively as per fee
structure.
(b) For boarders taking fresh admission:
- The first instalment of fee is due at the time of admission or latest by 31st January each year.
- The second instalment is due by 30th June each year.
- Part payment of fees is not acceptable.
- Fine for late payment of fees will be as per the following schedule :-

- Students shall not be allowed to appear in the final examination if their fees /
dues are not cleared by that date by the parents / guardians.
- In no circumstances requests for reduction in fee will be entertained for the absence
of ward from the school for any reason what-so-ever.
- All the dues must be cleared within stipulated time otherwise the ward shall not
be allowed to join after winter vacations.
- A student once admitted as a boarder shall remain a boarder for that particular session.
- Three months’ notice will be required prior to the withdrawal from the school, otherwise
fee for the full term shall be charged.

Fee Rules for Day Scholars |

The payment of fees etc. by the parents may be deposited through cash / local cheque / bank draft into Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank Ltd. at Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir, Nainital or any branch of this bank mentioned in the deposit slip issued by the school office.
- The parents of the ward on getting admission must deposit admission fee in addition to the first instalment of fees, in advance, which is non-refundable.
- The first instalment of fees in respect of the old day scholar students is to be deposited by 31st January, the 2nd instalment by 30th June and the 3rd and final instalment by 29th September each year.
- Part payment of fee is not acceptable.
- Fine for late payment of fee will be as per the following schedule :-

Extra Curricular Activities |
Apart from academics, extra curricular activities are organized from time to time in the school. Children are encouraged to take part in various activities such as debate, creative writing, recitation, art and craft, needle work, dramatics, dance and music etc. Every year on 31st May, we celebrate our “Annual Function” to commemorate the birth anniversary of the veteran freedom fighter and social worker Late Sri Mohan Lal Sah in whose sacred memory this school has been named. On 26th May we celebrate Patron’s day a function for children from class Prep to Class V. This gives all the small children an opportunity to appear on stage and showcase their talent.

Games and Sports |
All students have to participate in games organized by the college and also in athletics unless they are exempted on medical grounds. There are four houses Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore and Shastri. Inter House competitions are held regularly in cultural activities like debates, singing, elocution etc. and in various games. Opportunities for participation in the above activities are provided to all students. School teams also take part in various competitions and sports organized by C.B.S.E. at different locations and Inter school events in the city.
It is compulsory to participate in the activities on the Annual Function Patron’s Day every year. No excuse is accepted or exemption granted to any student.
